PSCC Description
The PowerShares S&P SmallCap Consumer Staples Portfolio (Fund) is based on the S&P SmallCap 600® Capped Consumer Staples Index (Index). The Fund will normally invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the Index. The Index is designed to measure the overall performance of common stocks of US consumer staples companies. These companies are principally engaged in the business of providing consumer goods and services that have non-cyclical characteristics, including tobacco, textiles, food and beverage, and nondiscretionary retail. The Index is a subset of the S&P SmallCap 600® Index, which is a float-adjusted, market-capitalization-weighted index reflecting the US small-cap market. The Fund and the Index are rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly.

The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund is an actively ETF that seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in securities of companies that derive at least 50% of their net revenue from the hotel business. It may also invest in companies involved in other lodging and travel-related services. The fund invests primarily in U.S. exchange listed equity securities, including common and preferred stock and ?ADRs. It is non-diversified.Grade (RS Rating)
