The investment seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to two times the inverse (-2x) of the daily performance of the Dow Jones U.S. UtilitiesSM Index. The fund invests in derivatives that ProShare Advisors believes, in combination, should have similar daily return characteristics as two times the inverse (-2x) of the daily return of the index. The index measures the performance of the utilities sector of the U.S. equity market. Component companies include, among others, electric utilities, gas utilities, multi-utilities and water utilities. The fund is non-diversified.

The investment seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the DAXglobal® Nuclear Energy Index. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities of U.S. and foreign companies primarily engaged in various aspects of the nuclear energy business. It may also utilize convertible securities and participation notes to seek performance that corresponds to the Nuclear Energy Index. The fund may concentrate its investments in a particular industry or group of industries to the extent that the index concentrates in an industry or group of industries.
