NewJersey Resources Corporation Description

New Jersey Resources Corporation, an energy services holding company, provides retail and wholesale energy services. The company operates in four segments: Natural Gas Distribution, Clean Energy Ventures, Energy Services, and Energy Holdings. The Natural Gas Distribution segment provides natural gas service to residential and commercial customers in central and northern New Jersey; and participates in the off-system sales and capacity release markets. The Clean Energy Ventures segment invests, owns, and operates renewable energy projects, such as commercial and residential solar projects, and on-shore wind investments located in the state of New Jersey. The Energy Services segment maintains and transacts a portfolio of natural gas storage and transportation positions; and provides wholesale energy and energy management services. The Energy Holdings segment invests in natural gas transportation and storage assets. The company also provides unregulated retail operations; heating, ventilation, and cooling service repair and contract services to approximately 134,900 customers, as well as solar installation projects; holds and develops commercial real estate properties; provides plumbing repair and installation services; and makes and holds energy-related investments. As of September 30, 2012, it owned 27 acres of undeveloped land in Monmouth County and a 56,400 square-foot office building on 5 acres of land; and 52 acres of undeveloped land in Atlantic county. New Jersey Resources Corporation was founded in 1922 and is based in Wall, New Jersey.
