MFDX Description

The investment seeks to track the investment results of the RAFI Dynamic Multi-Factor Emerging Markets Index. The fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its total assets (exclusive of collateral held from securities lending) in the component securities of the RAFI Dynamic Multi-Factor Emerging Markets Index. The underlying index is constructed by RAFI Indices, LLC using a rules-based approach to construct factor portfolios within the underlying index. The underlying index consists of "factor portfolios," each of which emphasizes one of the following factors: value, low volatility, quality and momentum.

PIZ Description The PowerShares DWA Developed Markets Momentum Portfolio (Fund) is based on the Dorsey Wright® Developed Markets Technical Leaders Index ND (Index). The Fund will normally invest at least 80% of its total assets in securities of developed economies within Dorsey, Wright & Associates, LLC's classification definition, excluding US companies listed on a US stock exchange. This Index includes approximately 100 companies that possess powerful relative strength characteristics and are domiciled in developed markets including, but not limited to Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The Index excludes US companies listed on a US stock exchange. The Index is computed using the net return, which withholds applicable taxes for non-resident investors. The Fund and the Index are rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly. Effective on or about Oct. 4, 2013, the name of the Fund changed from PowerShares DWA Developed Markets Technical Leaders Portfolio to PowerShares DWA Developed Markets Momentum Portfolio
