Golar LNG Limited, a midstream liquefied natural gas (LNG) company, engages in the transportation, regasification and liquefaction, and trading of LNG. It is involved in the acquisition, ownership, operation, and chartering of LNG carriers and floating storage regasification units (FSRU); and the development of LNG projects. As of December 31, 2012, the company owned and operated a fleet of six LNG carriers; and operated Golar LNG Partner LP's fleet of seven LNG carriers and FSRUs.
