Graphic Packaging Holding Company, together with its subsidiaries, provides packaging solutions in the United States, Canada, Central/South America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific. The company operates in two segments, Paperboard Packaging and Flexible Packaging. The Paperboard Packaging segment produces a range of paperboard grades convertible into folding cartons that are used primarily to protect products, such as food, detergents, paper products, beverages, and health and beauty aids. This segment also engages in the design, manufacture, and installation of packaging machinery related to the assembly of cartons; production and sale of corrugated medium and kraft paper, and paper and heat transfer labels. The Flexible Packaging segment provides multi-wall bags, shingle wraps, plastic bags and films, retort pouches, medical test kits, and batch inclusion bags and films to various markets, including food and agriculture, building and industrial materials, chemicals, minerals, pet foods, and pharmaceutical products. This segment also produces heat transfer labels and lithographic labels for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, automotive, household and industrial products, detergents, and health and beauty markets. The company markets its products primarily to multinational beverage, food, and other consumer product companies; non-beverage consumer product customers; and independent and integrated paperboard converters through direct sales offices and broker arrangements with third parties. Graphic Packaging Holding Company was founded in 1992 and is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
