Amyloid Beta (Aβ) is a peptide that is found in the brains of people with Alzheimer's disease. It is a fragment of a larger protein called amyloid precursor protein (APP). Aβ is believed to be a major contributor to the development of Alzheimer's disease, as it accumulates in the brain and forms plaques that disrupt the normal functioning of neurons.
