Why Stock Outperformance Might be ENDING!
8 days ago by StockCharts TV @ StockCharts.com YouTube Channel

Julius de Kempenaer, Creator RRG Charts, takes a look at rotations in an asset allocation #rrg . He compares fixed income related asset classes, commodities, the US dollar, BTC and stocks to a balanced portfolio of 60% stocks/40% bonds. The long lasting outperformance of stocks seems to be coming to an end. This assessment of asset allocation is then followed by a look at S&P 500 sector rotation using Relative Rotation Graphs broken down into three groups, offensive, defensive, and (economically) sensitive. The current rotation in the defensive group is really standing out. 👀 See what better financial charting can do for you! Stock Market Concerns? Watch the Transportation Sector ETF (IYT)!
8 days ago by Michele Schneider @ See It Market

Over the weekend I wrote, “Bulls want to see IYT hold above its 50-WMA. Otherwise, we believe IYT can get closer to the 200-WMA, but it will not fail it again.” As Monday began, the first green day in September, the transportation sector flashed early on that it had found at least temporary support. From Dodge Data Analytics: Dodge Momentum Index Rises 3% in August The Dodge Momentum Index (DMI), issued by Dodge Construction Network, increased 2.9% in August to 220.4 (2000=100) from the revised July reading of 214.2. Over the month, commercial planning expanded 1.9% and institutional planning improved 5.7%. “Owners and developers continued to prime the planning queue in August, ahead of next year’s anticipated stronger market conditions,” stated Sarah Martin, associate director of forecasting at Dodge Construction Network. “With the Fed’s September rate cut all but finalized, the influence of selective lending standards and inflation should moderate next year, alongside a modest upgrade to consumer demand. As a result, stronger planning activity was widespread in August, with most nonresidential sectors seeing growth.” Commercial planning saw anot...

Several things impact the price of gold, including the US Dollar, economy, war, uncertainty, etc. Our current environment is filled with concerns about all of the above. And so it’s unsurprising to see gold surging over $2500/oz. […]

Clawback of Friday's Losses Sets Up Bullish Haramis for Lead Indices
9 days ago by noreply@blogger.com (Declan Fallon) @ Fallond Picks

Sellers remorse after a weekend of retrospection might have accounted for some of today's buying, and while bullish haramis left in Indices might offer reversal opportunities, overhead supply at moving averages will likely prove problematic. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The Russell 2000 ($IWM) dug in at $207.50 support, established in part by May swing highs. I'm nore sure it's a strong level, particularly as it played little defensive role during the test of the 200-day MA in August. Today's buying was low on volume and didn't change the net technical picture. F...
