The investment seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Market Vectors US Listed Retail 25 Index (the "Retail Index"). The fund normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities that comprise the fund's benchmark index. The Retail Index is comprised of common stocks and depositary receipts of U.S. exchange-listed companies in the retail industry. Such companies may include medium-capitalization companies and foreign companies that are listed on a U.S. exchange. The fund is non-diversified.

The investment seeks investment results, before fees and expenses, that track the performance of the ProShares Online Retail Index (the index). The fund seeks to invest substantially all of its assets in the stocks that make up the index and generally holds each stock in approximately the same proportion as its weighting in the index. Normally, it will invest at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of the index. The index is designed to measure the performance of publicly traded companies that principally sell online or through other non-store sales channels, rather than through "brick and mortar" store locations.
