MRGR vs. QLTI ETF Comparison

Comparison of ProShares Merger ETF (MRGR) to GMO International Quality ETF (QLTI)
MRGR

ProShares Merger ETF

MRGR Description

The investment seeks investment results, before fees and expenses, that track the performance of the S&P Merger Arbitrage Index (the "index"). The fund is designed to track the performance of the index and provide exposure to a global merger arbitrage strategy. The index, and by extension the fund, seeks to produce consistent, positive returns in virtually all market environments, although there are no assurances it will achieve this result. The fund is non-diversified. The index seeks to provide a risk arbitrage strategy that exploits commonly observed price changes associated with a global selection of publicly announced mergers, acquisitions and other corporate reorganizations. Historically, the index has exhibited market neutral characteristics, lower volatility compared to the S&P 500, and a low correlation to S&P 500 returns.

QLTI

GMO International Quality ETF

QLTI Description QLTI seeks total return by investing in non-US equities that it considers to be high-quality. A high-quality company is defined by its solid operational foundation and ability to generate future returns. For its selection process, QLTI utilizes a mix of quantitative metrics, such as profitability and leverage, along with qualitative assessments of market conditions and growth prospects. It focuses on identifying companies that have demonstrated strong returns on past investments and show potential for effective cash flow management, whether through reinvestment or shareholder returns. Valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow and price-to-earnings ratios, help identify stocks that may be undervalued. While QLTI has flexibility in targeting specific sectors or regions, it maintains liquidity through investments in the GMO US Treasury Fund and other money market instruments, allowing for varied exposure across developed and emerging markets.
