It also provides DNANet tactical DNA products for law enforcement in the form of DNA-marked fixative sprays and liquids; digitalDNA, a DNA-secured form of the quick read code to create customer interface; fiberTyping solution, which is used in DNA verification for manufacturers, retailers, and brand owners to ensure quality, safety, and compliance of their products; and Counterfeit Prevention Authentication Program that empowers end-users to verify the originality or provenance of parts. Its solutions are used in various industries, including microcircuits and other electronics, cash-in-transit, homeland security, textiles and apparel, identity cards and other secure documents, law enforcement, pharmaceuticals, wine, and luxury consumer goods. The company was formerly known as Datalink Systems, Inc. and changed its name to Applied DNA Sciences, Inc. in 2002. The company was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Stony Brook, New York.
