Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo-SABESP provides basic and environmental sanitation services; and supplies treated water on a wholesale basis to residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal customers in the State of São Paulo. The company supplies water to approximately 27.7 million people; collects sewage generated by 21 million people; and operates 214 water treatment stations and 502 sewage treatment stations. It also operates a 67.6 thousand kilometer long water distribution network; and 45.8 thousand kilometer long sewage network. The company was founded in 1954 and is headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil.
