New Feature: Hover Charts for Even Quicker Stock Screen Analysis
Update: Now there's an even faster way to view the charts.
I've just implemented a feature I've wanted since I launched the site. You can now hover your cursor (mouse pointer) over a stock ticker to get a pop up of the chart. (Similar to how FinViz.com pop-up charts work.) Here's an example:
For now this works on all of the stock scan result pages as well as your portfolio and watchlist pages (and one of my favorite pages, the list of recent IPOs). My primary goal with this site is to make my nightly analysis process more efficient and this has already boosted my productivity a lot.
For those of you on mobile devices, these "hover charts" will work for you too -- or at least they work on iOS, I haven't tried them on and Android devices yet. All you need to to is quickly tap the ticker and you should get a pop-up chart. In fact, the screenshot above is from my iPad. If you want to go to the stock's page you just have to tap the ticker symbol again and the link will take you to the stock's page where you can see the interactive chart and all the alerts & analysis that SwingTradeBot has generated.
I still have a bit of tweaking to do to those charts. They'll likely stay pretty bare-bones. The idea is to get a quick glance of the recent price action in order to decide if you want to take a deeper look at that stock. I'll definitely be adding volume and a moving average -- probably a 20 or 50-day MA. And if the server can take the extra load from all these charts being displayed I may add these hover charts everywhere that you see a ticker that's a link.

This site's text hurts my eyes. You have light-gray text on a white background and light-green hyperlinks on lighter-gray backgrounds. There is very little contrast to these colors and makes it much harder to read.
Worse yet, when I highlight the text, I am again greeted with white text on a light purple background. The torture to the eyes never end!
Also note that the text on the DISQUS comment box are dark-gray on white, and when highlighted are white on medium-blue, which provides a much greater contrast than the rest of your site's text.
Please consider making your default text and link colors darker so it's easier to read. This is a great site but otherwise unreadable. Thanks.

Hi James,
I just made the text darker. I'd never noticed that the highlighting was purple. I'll see if I can address your other points in the next coming days. I'm not a designer by any stretch of the imagination and just went with whatever was in the theme that I'm using. Hopefully the darker text will eliminate the need to select / highlight the text.

Thanks Vee. I'm not sure about adding Fibonacci retracements. What exactly would you want to see? Alerts for stocks making a, say, 50% retracement? My head starts to hurt thinking about where to start and end the measurements of the moves.

Even I am not sure about that .. You have done the other technicals beautifully pls come up with some ideas and iam sure it will be a good one.. What I do is pull up a daily chart and draw fib retracement line and see the support resistance .. I just want to see this .. Hope this helps .. and thank you so much for your work.. Nice website!!

Would be great to be able to add many stocks by comma space. I like creating watchlist, but hate adding one by one, would like to just paste all my stocks. also maybe export custom scans to xls sheet... Love the site.

I'll consider adding these features. What do you mean by "custom" scans though? Also, what is it that you would do with the results once you get them into Excel? I'm just wondering if whatever it is you'd do is something I could provide on the site directly. Thanks.

by custom scans i mean the studies, the predefined studies you have available, I would like to be able to import them back into my trading platform to create my stock pool.

I like your site and would like to recommend you to scan the ichimoku cloud. This is an advanced indicator which consists of momentum and trend indicators. You may scan the Tenkan-sen (Conversion Line) with Kijun-sen (Base Line) above the cloud. It is like the golden cross but it may be more reliable. You may also scan the Tenkan-sen (Conversion Line) with Kijun-sen (Base Line) bellow the cloud. It is like the death cross.

Hi Mike, Do you have the scan for Ichimoku cloud? Looks like there was a request 5 Years ago from George on the same scan that I am interested in as well. Please confirm.
