How and Why I'm Using the New Intraday Alerts
- Find interesting stocks (usually in the evening) to track or trade via the scans or seeing a chart pattern on my watchlist
- For those which are ready to be bought, I'll add them to my "ready" watchlist and enter orders for them in my broker's system the next morning.
- For others, which still need some time to form a setup I like, I'll add them to another watchlist.
- Wait for orders to trigger & then manage my stop losses...

Great stuff! But I just realized I have no idea where to go to see my intraday alerts pop up. I was expecting email. And when I go to "Intraday Alerts" I see what I THINK are your intraday alerts...at least they're not mine.

So I added some more stocks to a new portfolio, and now I see my alerts appended to the alerts from stocks not in my portfolio. I also just noticed the button at the bottom of the portfolio that says "View Intraday Alerts". But none of the alerts are from my portfolio....

Hmm, I'll take a look in a little while

They're working fine for me as far as I can tell. I just logged in to a test account and all the alerts were tied to that account. What URL were you on? When you say they weren't your alerts what did that mean? We're they stocks that aren't in one of your watchlists or were they alerts for stocks that you do have in your watchlist but you had not said track that particular alert(s)?

OK, I can see a hole in how I'm displaying the alerts when you use the "Intraday Alerts" menu item, which displays all the alerts across your ports and WLs.. If two people are tracking a different set of alerts for the same stock both people will see the complete set of alerts. So I need to fix that. I'm still not seeing the problem with non-portfolio stocks appearing though.

So actually I was reporting the same problem using different wording.

OK, great. I fixed in last night. Please let me know if you see anything else that's off.

If you've signed up, check the "Routines" section. The default set of scans are some of my favorites / go-tos. But I use different ones depending on how the market is acting. Like, right now, with the market near oversold, I'm checking some of the oversold scans, stochastic buy signals, bullish engulfing, bounces of off the 50 or 200 DMA, etc. And often combining some of those via the Combo Scan.

How do you create the Intraday Alerts?

Via the "Manage Intraday Alerts" button on each Watchlist & Portfolio https://swingtradebot.com/b...
