The KBW Bank Total Return Index is a market capitalization-weighted index that tracks the performance of 24 of the largest U.S. banks. The index includes the stocks of banks that are publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange, the Nasdaq Stock Market, and the American Stock Exchange. The index is calculated and maintained by Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc. (KBW).
