- Natural Gas Liquefaction
Natural gas liquefaction is the process of cooling natural gas to a liquid state, at which point it can be stored and transported more easily. This process involves cooling the gas to a temperature of -162°C (-260°F) and compressing it to a pressure of around 200 atmospheres. The liquefied natural gas (LNG) is then stored in insulated tanks and transported by ship or truck.
