Your 4-month Market Correction
about 13 hours ago by JC @ All Star Charts
This past February the market was running hot! Too hot. We saw some of the most bullish sentiment readings in years. And this sentiment came after a historic rally for equities throughout the 4th quarter last year that couldn’t miss. Everything was working. But things can’t just go up forever. They need to rest eventually, and reset […] The post Your 4-month Market Correction appeared first on All Star Charts.

Q2 Ends As A Quarter of Notable Divergence – The Market Breadth #stockmarket #technicalanalysis

Q2 Ends As A Quarter of Notable Divergence – The Market Breadth "In Q2, the S&P 500 (SPY) enjoyed a 2-month rebound from an April sell-off. The index ended Q2 with a 3.9% gain. The stock market as a whole ended Q2 with a notable divergence in which market breadth, long maligned for the quarter, suddenly improved despite bearish topping patterns appearing on both the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ. The topping patterns are red flags, but the market has survived several red flags and many yellow flags this year. The potential for a bullish divergence after weeks and months of bearish divergences and similar close calls would be yet one more “escape” for the stock market." more... https://drduru.com/onetwentytwo/2024/06/30/q2-ends-as-a-quarter-of-notable-divergence-the-market-breadth/ $SPY $COMPQ $IWM #AT50 $CMG $BBY $EAT $FDX $FSLR $IGV $IRBT $NKE $WBA $ZS #stockmarket #technicalanalysis #shorts #marketbreadth

Late selling sends markets below their Friday open price
1 day ago by noreply@blogger.com (Declan Fallon) @ Fallond Picks
After a bright start by bulls, markets quickly took a turn and bears were left in control into the close. Both the S&P and Nasdaq finished with similar candlesticks; a nasty inverse hammer on higher volume distribution. This isn't great news for Monday as indices were looking to come out of a week long pause. It's too early to say what the long term impact of Friday's action will be, but Friday's was the kind of candlestick you typically see at a market top. In addition to the bearish candlestick there was a weak 'sell' trigger in the MACD for the S&P (a strong 'sell' candlestick comes when the trigger occurs below the bullish zero line). The trendline for <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtf329ldtm0X7lVj1NTA6YISnbvhcJdafP6Xhq8yjVbLBnCPnSShJoMqmM12IfqakmHdOJYzExe51G5SFd8rR3pIkm8LvPhyVWb0g0FqP7dhFLbD7fGEkSL1fUPVnUBXeHxkUa1KdkUcGgmgExCc9YN2evob8Im26yV1Kp7i7_2fTtK4fkU3LC/s1600/spx_jun30.png...
