The index is composed of large- and mid-cap developed market equities, excluding the U.S., that are selected and weighted so that, in the aggregate, the portfolio is compatible with the objectives of the Paris Agreement by following a decarbonization trajectory, reducing exposure to climate-related transition and physical risks and increasing exposure to companies favorably positioned for the transition to a low-carbon economy. The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of its index.

NUDM Description The investment seeks to track the investment results, before fees and expenses, of the TIAA ESG International Developed Markets Equity Index (the "index"). In seeking to track the investment results of the index, the advisor attempts to replicate the index by investing all, or substantially all, of its assets in the securities represented in the index in approximately the same proportions as the index. The index identifies equity securities from the MSCI EAFE Index that satisfy certain ESG criteria, based on ESG performance data collected by MSCI ESG Research, Inc.
