For its equity portion, the fund invests in stocks of companies operating across materials, metals and mining, gold sectors. It invests in growth and value stocks of companies across diversified market capitalization. For its commodity portion, the fund invests through derivatives in gold. It uses derivatives such as futures to create its portfolio. The fund also seeks to invest in gold futures through its wholly-owned Cayman Islands subsidiary. The investment seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Market Vectors® GDP Africa Index. The fund invests at least 80% of total assets in securities that comprise the index. The index is comprised of African companies. The index includes local listings of companies that are incorporated in Africa and offshore listings of companies incorporated outside of Africa that generate at least 50% of their revenues in Africa. The weighting of each country in the index is determined by the size of its GDP relative to the GDPs of the other countries represented in the index. The fund is non-diversified.
