The iShares ESG Advanced MSCI EM ETF (the “Fund”) seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of large- and mid-capitalization emerging market companies that have a favorable environmental, social and governance rating while applying extensive screens for company involvement in controversial activities. -- As part of its investment objective this fund seeks to track an index that applies the following business involvement screens: adult entertainment, alcohol, civilian firearms, conventional weapons, controversial weapons, for profit prisons, fossil fuels, gambling, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), nuclear power, nuclear weapons, palm oil, predatory lending and tobacco. The business involvement screens are based on revenue or percentage of revenue thresholds for certain categories and categorical exclusions for others.

The investment seeks investment results that correspond (before fees and expenses) to the price and yield performance of the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Consumer Titans 30 IndexSM. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets in securities of Emerging Markets Consumer companies that are included in the fund's Consumer Titans underlying index and generally expects to be substantially invested at such times, with at least 95% of its net assets invested in those securities.
