For its equity portion, it invests directly and through other funds in stocks of companies operating across blockchain companies including digital asset mining, blockchain and digital asset transactions, blockchain applications, blockchain and digital asset hardware, and blockchain and digital asset integration sectors. The fund invests in growth and value stocks of companies across diversified market capitalization. For its currency portion, it invests through derivatives in Bitcoin. The fund uses derivatives such as futures contracts to invest in Bitcoin through a wholly-owned subsidiary organized in the Cayman Islands. The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation above international benchmarks such as the BNY Mellon Classic ADR Index, the fund's primary benchmark, and the MSCI EAFE Index, the fund's secondary benchmark. The sub-advisor seeks to achieve the fund's investment objective by selecting primarily a portfolio of U.S.-traded securities of non-U.S. organizations, most often American Depositary Receipts ("ADRs"), included in the BNY Mellon Classic ADR Index.
