Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities of companies with large market capitalizations at the time of purchase that, in the opinion of Principal Global Investors, LLC ("PGI"), the fund"s investment advisor, display characteristics of a "blue chip" company. Blue chip companies are firms that, in PGI"s view, are well established in their industries and have the potential for growth of capital and an expectation for above-average earnings. The fund is non-diversified.

The investment seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation. The fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets in the common stocks of companies identified by it?s investment advisor as either information technology companies or consumer discretionary and communication services companies whose operations are principally derived from and/or dependent upon technology (such companies are collectively referred to herein as ?Expanded Technology Companies?). The fund?s investments will be concentrated (i.e., invest more than 25% of fund assets) in the industries or group of industries comprising the information technology sector.
