Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company provides telecommunication services in the Philippines. Its Wireless segment offers various services, such as cellular mobile, Internet broadband distribution, call center, mobile applications development, software development and sale of maintenance and support, mobile commerce solutions, mobile applications development, solutions and systems integration, satellite communications, and satellite information and messaging services. This segment is also involved in the promotion of the sale and/or patronage of debit and/or charge cards; international trade of satellites and global system for mobile communication enabled global telecommunications; and operates as a content provider. As of December 31, 2012, it served approximately 69,866,458 subscribers. The company's Fixed Line segment provides fixed line telecommunication services, such as local exchange, international long distance, national long distance, and data and other network services. This segment also provides information and communications infrastructure and services for Internet applications, Internet protocol-based solutions, and multimedia content delivery; Internet services; information technology consulting and professional services; gaming support services; and bills printing services and other value-added services. Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company was founded in 1928 and is based in Makati City, the Philippines.
