It invests in the public equity markets of the United States. The fund invests in stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. It invests in growth and value stocks of companies across diversified market capitalization. It invests in dividend paying stocks of companies. The fund invests in stocks of companies that are deemed socially conscious in their business dealings and directly promote environmental responsibility. It does not invest in companies related to alcohol production, tobacco production, nuclear power, gambling, and weapons and firearm production. The fund replicates the performance of the TIAA ESG USA High Dividend Index, by using full replication technique. Nuveen ESG Dividend ETF was formed on September 27, 2021 and is domiciled in the United States.
