Newtek Business Services, Inc., doing business as The Small Business Authority, provides financial and business services to the small- and medium-sized business market in the United States. It offers electronic payment processing services, which include marketing of credit and debit card processing services, check approval services, and ancillary processing equipment and software to merchants who accept credit cards, debit cards, checks, and other non-cash forms of payment. The company also provides ecommerce services, such as payment processing, online shopping cart tools, Website design, Web hosting, and Web related services; and managed technology solutions comprising shared and dedicated Web hosting, data storage and backup services, cloud computing plans, and related services. In addition, it originates small business administration loans, and offers accounts receivable financing and other lending products to small businesses for the purpose of acquiring commercial real estate, machinery, equipment, and inventory; and to refinance debt and fund franchises, and working capital and business acquisitions, as well as provides off-site data backup, storage, and retrieval services. Further, the company offers Newtek Advantage, a mobile real-time operating platform that enables a business to access data on a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or PC for ecommerce, credit/debit transactions, Website statistics, payroll, insurance, and business loans applications; personal, commercial, and health/benefits lines insurance products; accounts receivable financing, billing, and accounts receivable maintenance services; and payroll management processing and employee tax filing services. It has strategic alliances with American International Group, E-Insure, Credit Union National Association, Pershing, and others to provide agent services to small business clients. Newtek Business Services, Inc. was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in New York, New York.
