Maiden Holdings, Ltd. Description

Maiden Holdings, Ltd., through its subsidiaries, provides reinsurance solutions to regional and specialty insurers primarily in the United States and Europe. It operates in three segments: Diversified Reinsurance, AmTrust Quota Share Reinsurance, and ACAC Quota Share. The Diversified Reinsurance segment offers property, casualty, accident, and health; non-catastrophe inland marine and property; and auto and credit life reinsurance products. This segment provides its products through the treaties with other insurers on a quota share or excess of loss basis, as well as on a facultative basis primarily through third-party intermediaries and also on a direct basis. The AmTrust Quota Share Reinsurance segment offers small commercial business insurance, which includes workers' compensation, commercial package, and other commercial lines; specialty risk and extended warranty coverage for consumer and commercial goods, as well as custom designed coverage, such as accidental damage plans and payment protection plans in connection with the sale of consumer and commercial goods; and specialty program property and casualty insurance. The ACAC Quota Share segment reinsures personal lines automobile business of American Capital Acquisition Corp. under the quota share reinsurance agreement. Maiden Holdings, Ltd. was founded in 2007 and is headquartered Hamilton, Bermuda.
