German American Bancorp, Inc., a financial services holding company, offers retail and commercial banking, mortgage banking, financial planning, full service brokerage, and trust administration; and a range of personal and corporate insurance products primarily in southern Indiana. The company operates through three business segments: Core Banking, Trust and Investment Advisory Services, and Insurance Operations. The Core Banking segment engages in attracting deposits from the general public; and originates consumer, commercial and agricultural, commercial and agricultural real estate, and residential mortgage loans. This segment is also involved in the sale of residential mortgage loans in the secondary market. The Trust and Investment Advisory Services segment provides trust, investment advisory, and brokerage services. The Insurance segment offers a range of personal and corporate property and casualty insurance products. The company operates 35 retail and commercial banking offices in 13 southern Indiana counties. German American Bancorp, Inc. was founded in 1910 and is based in Jasper, Indiana.
