Under normal circumstances, the fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its net assets, which include borrowings for investment purposes, in the common and preferred stocks of companies located in emerging market countries excluding China. The fund may also invest in companies located in developed countries or China; however, the fund may not invest in any company located in a developed country or China if, at the time of purchase, more than 20% of the fund"s assets are invested in a combination of developed market and Chinese companies.

The investment seeks investment results that correspond to the EGAI Emerging Markets ex-China IndexSM. The fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets in the companies included in the underlying index and generally expects to be substantially invested at such times, with at least 95% of its net assets invested in these securities. The underlying index is a market capitalization-weighted index designed to provide broad, core emerging markets equity exposure by measuring the stock performance of up to 700 companies across the EGAI Emerging Markets Universe, excluding those listed or domiciled in China and Hong Kong.
